I have an EDO-AIRE RT-553 nav/comm and need to replace it. I was wondering if there was a 720 channel that would just pop in the existing box?

I posted some pictures of the current install in the classified section under looking for a radio...

Man ! You could hold a reunion in that space ! Not sure what would fit in there ? [:p] An option rather than making a new panel would be to make a face plate to cover the hole and add your own new radios. In that space you could put any of the new 760 radios AND a tranponder !

I hear the reviews for the new Flightline FL 760 transceiver have been very good. At $700.00 (Spruce) it is a relative bargain. I believe it is Made in Japan ? Those use to be words that sent shivers up and down my spine.

I have the MicroAir set up and have been very happy with the performance.
