This is actually what I used the first few times ... very detailed and they keep things up to date. Pictures of each runway, conditions, fuel avail etc..

If this event happens count me in... I live in the Dominican Republic and I have been up and down the Bahamas quite a few times.
You do require 12" call sign ( I used duct tape) , I now have those 12" permanent after a paint job.
Entering and leaving the Bahamas by plane is a breeze, very friendly...
I used to make a fuel stop in Exuma, but now I don't need to (got long range tanks)

If anyone want's to make the trip to the DR let me know... Things are a bit different here.

Cheers!
Marc

OK. Time to get serious about the Bahamas Trip. I talked to my contacts here just today and they are still on board to help. Sun 'n Fun is just about to post their "Fly Along" trip for the first weekend in June. We could tag along on that trip or go of on our own. What say yee?

I would say that Karen and I would love to go whenever the group decides. At this point I would rather let others choose the timing. I will be watching to see how the discussion goes. It might be a once in a lifetime trip for us.

My number 1 vote would be for just after Sun-n-Fun, I just booked a room for the Sedona fly-in and that puts me almost half way to FL. No matter when, I'm in, God will'n and the creek don't rise.

Just to fuel the flames a bit, the Dec Sport Aviation and the Feb AOPA Pilot have articles on the Bahama's
http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2015/February/Pilot/f_escape1?WT.mc_id=150116epilot&WT.mc_sect=trp

It's said that there are 7 ways to warm your toes on a cold Feb day, 1. soak them in the water of a warm Caribbean beach, if you can afford that, forget the other 6. ::)

Due to the limited number of folks that can make the proposed T-18 Bahamas trip, I suggest we tag along with the Sun 'n Fun Sponsored trip 4-8 June, 2015.

Here are the preliminary details:
