After a fantastic 4 days at Elizabeth City hosted by Scott and his airport crew. The 130 repair facility was a great venture too. Bob myself and the wife's arrived a day late in Boston for a few days of sight seeing. We plsn on departing Thursday for New Jersey and West Virginia to visit family and on to Florida by the weekend.

Um...the Happy Hour shots tell some stories.....one of which it's 1135 and everyone is at the bar.....did you scramble everyone for air ops at 0430, or is that clock indicating GMT????

It would've been easier to read the clock if you'd actually been in the bar with us...

The last of the Florida Three Amigos is back in the nest. Scott Hinton - - Great Show! This one will be remembered as one fo the best. Bill and Debbie and Suz And I motored on to the Boston area where we took in all the sights. Great weather for sight-seeing. Went right over the top of the New York Class B airspace. On the flight out of Boston, we were cleared straight through New York at 6500'. We dropped off to land in Northern NJ while Bill and Debbie pressed on to WV. We even were able to coordinate an in-flight flight break-up with NY so each of us would retain flight following. I think Approach Control thought it was kind of cool that we were flying homebuilts in formation right over their city. Suz and I stayed in the NYC area for the week end finally coming home on Father's Day.

Those of you that are maintaining your T-18 for trips around the pattern need to broaden your horizons. You have a great cross country airplane. Give her her head and let her run!

I'll second Bob. Scott planned a GREAT show. Never a dull moment with the visit to the C130 facility, photo shoot at Kitty Hawk, what a treat to have a picture of your Thorp flying over where it all started, the back yard BarB-Q at the Culpepper Bed and Breakfast. If you have not had Eastern Carolina Bar B Q you have missed a fine feed. Thanks again Scott, you did good. Now the rest of guys get out and support these Thorp events. You missed a lot.

Scott, I didn't get enough camera time on your plane. That paint job really makes it a beauty in flight.

As the third of the Florida Three Amigos, I "third" Bob Highley's and Bill Williams' comments regarding the Thorp Gathering under Scott Hinton's special care. He even arranged great weather. And the shot of Margie's and my plane over First Flight came out really well-- regards to the photog and the photo ship pilot. GREAT!!
