After a great AirVenture 2010, it is time to get serious about Kentucky Dam. Oshkosh was great place to meet and discuss the T-18, but the venue just doesn't lend itself to flying and swapping rides.

The Ky Dam Fall Gathering will be held on October 8, 9 and 10 October at the Kentucky Dam State Park and airport (M34). You need to get your reservations in by 9 Sep to get the group rates. Ask for the Paine Party Group.

Call 1-800-325-0146 for reservations. Camping and Cotteges are also available. Email Teresa Scola at terryscola@yahoo.com for more info.

This is a must attend event.

I have been approached again this year by the group down at Murray to see if we are up for the fish fry again. Please reply yea or nay and how many might show up. Those who have been before will attest to the greatness of this offer. It is 20 miles from KY Dam and can be driven in 30 mins. It is ten minutes by air.

Big Yea here!

If you left out all the other reasons to attend KY Dam this event alone still makes it a must-not-miss event.

Pathetically speaking, I dreamt last night of loading my freshly aquired uncowled project fuselage on a trailer and sitting in the cockpit joyously making airplane noises beside a fresh crawfish boil pot while Bill Williams towed me down the freeway with his sidecar equipped Harley heading to the Kentucky Dam gathering. Obviously, I gotta get back in the air......after therapy, of course.
