Lee My wife and I are planning to attend SnF. Are the T-18 guys planning on having a lunchen or dinner and if so what date and time? |

You bet Steve .... here are the tentative arrangements. 03/29-04/03 Sun n Fun Lakeland, FL Note: Forum/Dinner Friday April 1 5:00PM Social Hour, Dinner at 6:00 Tent BTW for those who have the latest edition of "Tiger Tales" this information is in the upcoming events section. |

Sun n Fun! Alright Gents ... 28 days to go! Let's do a head count ... FL Gang <3> Wendell Green and I <2> I don't want to speak for anyone else but I've got a feeling we can count on <2> more than that. That's 5 for sure (most likely 7) ... can we get double digits this year? Sure would be nice to fill a row up with T-18's like the good ol' days! |

Lee, keep it down if you want your parts that I forgot to mail last week. Maybe this week............ I plan on painting the Thorp after SnF, I'm currently doing some sheet metal repair, etc. Low country boil is still on for Friday evening. |

Well I have had my T-18 project for a couple of months now and if I were Lee Walton it would be ready to fly to Sun n Fun and I would be on to my next project. However, that is not the case hopefully next year. Amanda and I will be making our first trip to the venue (via SUV). |

A word to the wise: If you plan to arrive at Sun 'n Fun on Thursday, 31 March, review the NOTAMS carefully. Right now, the Navy Blue Angels are to arrive at 1000 Local. They will close the field for that. At 1200, the Blues will takeoff for practice and another field closure for an hour. The airshow starts after that and the field will be closed until 1800. After that, the outbound traffic will have priority over in-bounds. The field will close to all arrivals at 2200, S'n F not accepting arrivals after 1945. Should you find yourself at GIF, bum a ride to the Splash-in at Lake Agnes. We plan on having a great day there. |

Made the trip east yesterday to hang out with family before sun n fun. Enjoyed 30-40kt tailwinds on the way out ... Probably the last time I'll see 200kt plus gs for a while. <2> things 1. St elmo, Ms (2R5) has $4.16 gas 2. Make sure your feet are not asleep on arrival as that can induce an unwanted ground loop ... (Airplane is fine, happened at about 10kts, gave the locals a good laugh) I guess it had to happen sooner later [;)] |

I sell avgas and I'm still amazed that $4.16 is now a good deal. Sad... |
