Is anyone going to the Arlington fly-in? My wife and I are going to be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I'm flying my aircraft and she is driving the SUV with the camping gear, she claims we can't get enough stuff in the airplane.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Ask the guy who put a Model- A engine and 2 cases of beer in it ! Not quit sure about the beer, but the Model-A engine is on record. 2 people camping ? One sleeping bag. Put it under the wing and cover the wing with a tarp. ;) I don't sleep on the ground anymore. I prefer A/C, a hot shower and the morning paper at the door from the front desk ! :o

I saw a formation of a T-18 and 3 RV's fly over Crest airpark today, on their way to the Arlington airshow.
Sure wish I could have gone today.... I'll go Friday.
No peperroni or engine blocks tho-

Well, Arlington 2012 is now history. Attendance was down this year probably for 2 factors, bad weather and too close to Oshkosh. The aircraft Scott saw on Wed was Mike Proshold (N118JT) from Longview, WA. Mike was there Wed thru Fri. I flew up on Thursday and represented the Thorp community till Sat evening. I had to wait till noon for the marine layer to burn off on Thursday. Friday we had thunder boomers off and on all day long. Saturday was a repeat of the marine layer not burning off till later in the morning. Several folks that I know drove in instead of flying because of the uncertain weather.
