Who is thinking about going to Sun 'n Fun this year? I've been toying with the idea of flying the Cub down there. It'd be about 10 hrs flying time and at least 2 fuel stops and I'd probably run out of daylight if things didn't go perfectly. I'd try to get there on Monday (the 31st) and come home on Friday (the 4th) or Saturday (the 5th). The long range forecast would have to be very favorable for me to be persuaded to attempt it.

I'll be there Gary, not sure if I'll be in Wendell's airplane or fly commercial though. New airplane is not going to make Sun n Fun, I'm sure it'll be in the air by then but doubt phase 1 will be complete.

Lee. I completed my Phase 1 over a lake north of Mcalaster <OK. I'll see you guys at SNF and Gulf Shores.

I'll be there, but probably not in 66WT. May be another Grumman trip. Skd to be there wed to sat.

David and Karen are planning on being there. N718DR is ready to show that Thorp Central North doesn't scare that easily. Or maybe we are just slow learners. Should have the option to make it with only one fuel stop this time, but I don't know if we have the bladders for it.

i'll be there. If any Thorpies want a Sun n Fun escape you can fly into my home at 03FA Lake Placid, Fl. Let's pick a day and have a cook out here during SnF.

Karen and I always throw our tent in the back of the thorp. The only time we camp is there and OSH but that is part of the experience. That and watching people be amazed we put a large tent, sleeping bags, air beds, clothes, and all we need except to cook for a week in our little plane.
