Hi gang, I returned from a nice visit from Sun n Fun and as putting my Thorp shirts away....realized that 2023 is the 60th anniversary of our design. How great would it be to get as many Thorps together for a huge gala celebration. Whether is be a separate event or piggyback it on Oshkosh 2023 would be determined later. I looked at Lee’s Thorp map and there doesn’t seem to be one central location to have a central event. Or it could be at sun n fun as well. We have 2 years to get some planning figured out. |

K82 (http://www.airnav.com/airport/K82) in Smith Center, KS is the closest airport to the geographical center of the lower 48. It's a small town, but I heard what's left of Van Halen plays there every Saturday night. David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar alternate Saturdays and occasionally get together for duets. Also, I wouldn't put 100% faith in the Thorp map. Three owners in Las Vegas/Boulder City aren't listed and one ex-owner is. Spanky |

A 60th get together sounds great. With two years to clear my schedule you can count me in. From KSCK it will most likely be heading east. |

Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Hagar, duets......I can't decide if that's awesome or just totally wrong, but either way, it sounds like a good show. |
