As a craniums-up for those who haven’t yet made reservations at the Sky Ranch Lodge, the rooms for the group discount rate are booked, at least according to the person I talked to. If you want a room at the SRL, prepare for some sticker shock. Room with a view: $402/night. Without: $377/night. Ouch!!

Sedona attendance was a bit light this year. Seven Thorps made their way to this picturesque patch of AZ, with five other families driving in. The weather was spectacular, 80s in the day and low 60s at night with not much wind. There was some local flying, some “status checks” on nearby fly in community Thorpers, and some flight training. Camaraderie was excellent. There was no evidence of COVID in this neck of the woods. We may have to make September the new normal.
