Check the plans. The Thorp has a flat bottom on the fuselage. Need to see a picture. Don't know of any gupy lookin' Thorps out there.

Std T18 plans have the curve starting around the rear spar attach point.

Looks normal to me, The S18 is 5" longer than a T18 maybe this is what you are seeing or it could be an optical contusion!

The second photo is my airplane N18JF, what you can't see in the photo is there is a wing to body fairing that starts about where the stripes on the fuselage start and is probably causing the illusion by hiding the curve of the fuselage.

Could be me, but doesn't 587's windshield extend a little lower than I am use to ? Not that there is anything wrong with that ! In fact it looks like an increase in visibility ! I like more visibility from the inside out !

Over the years the roll bar was raised 3/4". Early builders installed a block to raise the height.

Here is a side view of a pretty stock built T-18--N18GR, first flew in 1978. Bill Cordoza took this picture of it on my first flight in it last year. Not very much guppy looking...

T-18 Grin .....Tin Grin!
That's waht we used to call a smile with braces on the teeth. :D
I really like the picture. The Whole picture, including the hangar, where I see that things get done.
Hopefully I'll have that grin this weekend.
