I am preparing to start fab on T18 Fuel Tank Supports and found the attached diagram with a mod for pedal interference in the newsletter archive. Before getting too far into the fab thought I should ask if a consensus was developed on how to deal with the interference? I am using A-528R as my reference.

I did not find that I needed to make the mod. I also have the removable floor, so checking the fit and later modifications would be easier. |

I expect the removable floor has many benefits. I will put on my list. Since you didn't need the mod, is the interference more of a potential mechanical tolerance build up or is it a shoe size issue? Thanks Tom |

I think it assumes a fully compressed master cylinder, something that shouldn't happen. The length of your rudder cables can influence rudder pedal travel. |

For whatever its worth, neither my flying plane nor my project have the rudder pedal/tank support interference issue. |
