Thorp Air Command - T18.net

I was going through old EAA records and found where my airplane won "Best T-18" at Osh '76. I have always been trying to find information on the builder, Bob Weeks. This airplane was beautifully built and was a polished airplane until I painted it about 10 years ago. I have never been able to find anyone who knew him. Further EAA document search returned a Chino '79 Slater Memorial T-18 Award for Bob Weeks, Long Beach, CA.. As an aside, there is a T-18 on the cover of the Chino '79 newsletter. Here is the Osh award listed on page 3, left column near the top.

and

MECHANIX ILLUSTRATED AWARD — Lu Sunderland. Apalachm, NY for folding wing design for the T-18.

In that issue, there are also pictures of Tony Bingelis and Lu Sunderland. Neither of them look like what I had pictured in my head. It also shows Kent Paser (of Speed with Economy) won Best Mustang II this same year.
