I have just returned from my EAA chapter meeting where our featured speaker was Ed Saylor. Ed was the crew chief/flight engineer on airplane 15 of the Doolittle Raid on Japan. What an experience, as I sat there listening to Ed it occured to me that I have read about and seen documentaries about the Doolittle Raid but here was a man that lived it and made history. Ed is one of five surviving raiders. It was an inspiring night.

For those that need a refresher http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doolittle_Raid.
