Hi All, I had a nice visit with Barry Hall - former co owner of N31BD over the weekend. I was there to pick up his collection of newsletters and see his current project. He also gave me a large collection of photos that he had taken over the years. Photos of Sun N Fun, Kentucky Dam and other places. In the stack of photos I found a picture of what I call 'Project 1'. It was nice to see the airplane back when it was all together. I'm not sure of the date, but it was definately Sun N Fun.
Maybe someone can help me piece the rest of the history together. I have the FAA record and here's what it says:
Project 1 was built by Richard Wyngarden of Deltona, Florida. It's S/N 1088 and it's N number was N66WT.
It was later owned by Christopher Morris of Lakeland, FL
In 1994 it was sold to James French of San Antonio, TX who wrote a letter to the FAA in 2006 stating the aircraft had been in a disassembled state since 1997 and was no longer airworthy.
That's all I know. Any Ideas?

Thanks, Terry

Jim French lives in Fort Myers, FL.
He has several Thorp projects in his hanger which could be one of these planes.
