Received a note from Gary Green that our long time friend Dave Eby, a Thorp builder, flyer and aircraft judge passed away 28 October.

Got that note too... damn! He will be missed by so many of us - he was a good man. Such sad news.

Dave was a great inspiration to us all. As a DAR, he put many a homebuilt in the air.

Dave inspired and helped many in our aviation community, also helped many during EAA Oshkosh in the forums area. Dave will be missed by all that knew him.

I am very sad to hear about Dave's passing. He was a great guy. I will miss his witty humor.

Dave, a true gentleman who will be truly missed. My condolence's to Pat. My first flight in a T-18 was with Dave.
