Thorp Air Command - T18.net

Hi All,

Is anyone possibly planning on flying and needing a passenger over the next week? I'll be in the States (and able to travel anywhere), and would love to hitch a ride in a T18. I own one, but I've never actually flown one! If anyone is able to offer a seat, I'd really appreciate it. Happy to pay my way.

Hi Marc,

There are 3 Thorps on one field here in Kansas City. I know that you could hitch a ride with myself, and almost for sure with a good friend of mine. I have the T-18 2+2, and my friend has a S-18.

If you are talking this coming week, I am available. The following week (May 3 - 7), I will be out the 4th and 5th. Otherwise can work to find some flying time!

Marc, I'm glad you're coming to Kansas City - home of a decent density of Thorps. Travis and I are happy to take you up - in fact... I'm planning on flying to Wayne, NE this Friday to see the STOL drag races. I was going to camp the night on the field and watch the championships in the morning. My plan was to fly with you in the early afternoon, then make my way from KC to Wayne... But if you're up for an adventure, happy to have you along for the races.

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to DrDrift and DrParachute for taking me up on my crazy request. I thoroughly enjoyed flying with you guys, and will definitely be back sometime. If these two guys are anything to go by, I'm glad to be a part of the Thorp community! The aircraft are fantastic, and I am more motivated than ever!
