Now that TEMPO epoxy prop paint is no longer available what the hay are us "knuckleheads" using to rehab our Aymar-de-Muth props ?

I wish people would answer you, because I have a wood prop that needs refurbishing soon as well. I would send it off to Performance Propeller for a refurb, but they said they would have it for six weeks to do it....I cant go that long without flying!

I always painted mine with the same NAPA urethane enamel that I painted the rest of the plane with. I seems like years ago in a conversation with Mike DeMuth he approved.

I only painted the tips where there was fiberglass with Rust-Oleum enamel rattle can, the rest I covered with a urethane clear spar varnish, why? my prop had 1/16" laminations and it just looked cool 8)

Guys, I would think that urethane paint would be more resilient than an epoxy paint. Epoxies tend to be more brittle. Just my $0.02 Cdn.

Guys I have an original Sensenich wood prop, I use spar varnish for re-coat.
Worked for 35 years ok.
