Thanks. I was as surprised as anyone, the first I heard was Friday afternoon. It was an honor to get to do the photo shoot and I hoped something would end up in the magazine but I never dreamed we would make the cover. The photographer made us look good, I remember the first part of the flight was bumpy and I couldn’t hold station but it was still a blast. I was in good company

This is awesome PR for the great thorp aircraft. How many people only know an RV and will be surprised to find out there has been an aircraft that is 60 years old that matches the now ubiquitous RV.

I hope this leads to tremendous interest in the Thorp as an "affordable" option to the cost to build an RV's. Yes the Thorp kit is not the same level of completion out of the box. But with inflation etc. How many people are there out there who lust over the performance of an RV, but cannot afford to buy one, or even buy the RV kit?

The thought I have is how many people will be astounded that this great performing aircraft has been "hidden" way from them for 60 years! How many people will be saying to themselves; "where have you been all my life?"

Wonderful photo on cover. Thank you for getting that done. This is my first post. I am building an original T-18. Where can I get the type of cowls on those three T-18s? Thank you. Tom Bovington.

Tom,
Those are standard T18 cowls. You can order them through me at Thorp Central.

Great cover photo; it was nice to hold it up to the wife and point to the middle aircraft as the one for all the pics I took at SnF (thanks David).
Likewise for the pics elsewhere in the magazine. I was hoping to see a feature article. Does anyone know if one is pending?
