I know this isn't an answer to your issue, but If it helps any, I used a retrofit cap sold by Newton. I purchased it from Vans Aircraft I believe. It is made smaller than the standard size cap, so you can install this one inside the existing hole. I omitted a scupper on my flying airplane, and I haven't missed not having one. |

Ryan thanks for the input on the scupper and the fuel cap. I have seen your write up and pictures on the fuel cap install. Has the cap worked well for you? I envision the Usher cap would go in similarly to what you did by cutting its flange to fit and glue/seal it in. Dave |

yes, i am still happy with it. I do seem to recall some people have said they have had issues with the plastic parts of the newton caps. I don't recall anything more specific about what this issue was though, sorry. |
