I truly hope that all of us can ..

1.) live as long as Bob did
2.) be adored by as many people as he was
3.) learn from his amazing abilities and strive to get close to his level if experience (in whatever profession that may be)

Bob Hoover's death was not unexpected but still hurts!

I probably saw him in the early 60's flying the P-51 . Then it was the F-86 , Saberliner/T-39 (same wing as the F-86) and the Commander . I don't remember him flying the OV-10 ? I don't think there has every been a finer display of "Energy Conservation" by any other pilot ! ;) The real hoot was when he broke out of a German POW camp and stole a German fighter !
