Being a new guy and planning to attend OSH next year (never too early to plan), I would like the gouge as where to stay ( not on the ground in a tent like a bug !), but some where with at least a hot shower and a somewhat "soft bed." I'll stay with Fraser, but in separate beds ! Hoot mon! Hoot Mon ! [:p]

For those that have been there before a "brief" to the "nuggets" might be helpful for those arrive from the West.

Get your request in early to the dorm office at U. Wis. OSH. We stay in Taylor Hall which is airconditioned. These dorms go early -- get crackin'. There is a bus to the event and is quite cheap, considering. We rent/share a car from Hertz on the field since the extra-curricular activities often are off the beaten path. Ask Frase about these items. Oshkosh is not an inexpensive undertaking, but far better than any other vacation that can set you back more.

Thanks Bob: All good gouge. I'll start planning now ! Can't be more expensive than the DOJ and their $16.00 muffins and staying at the Washington D.C. Hilton ! OSH may or not be a one time event for me ? Depending on the humidity, bugs, rain, mud, T-storms, heat and bunk mates...did I leave anything out ? Is this the part of the country where they have Old Style Beer ?

Well...right now there is change in plans. I am not planning on OHS this year, but next when I understand it will be the 50th anniversary of the T-18. I know several other Thorp's are planning on the 50th as well.
