I'm toying with the idea of having some t-shirts made for those of us that are attending Oshkosh this year.

First I need to figure out a few things ...

1.) How many are interested
2.) Some suggestions from the wittier of you out there as to what they should say.

I've considered Dr. Stine's "Life is good, but it's better with a Thorp!" quote from KY Dam.

Maybe "Airventure 2011 Thorp T-18 Ambassador" on the back ... etc ...

I'm not the most creative person when it comes to this and the types that I know around here are not the airplane type and quite frankly their humor does not translate well for us.

I think I can get them made for about $13-15 a piece.

Lee, any thoughts of getting shirts and offering them to those of us who cannot attend?

Count me in for a T-shirt - large.....so I can wear it as jammies - in fact, I'm good for two.

It's late, and my humor has gone to bed - I'll think of something

633PM takes wing tomorrow evening - pics and performance review to follow evals through weekend.

I am all for the Tee-Shirts----However I have only one absolute requirement. They MUST have a pocket! I absolutely will not buy or wear a tee-shirt without a pocket. Same goes for golf shirts---won't have one without a pocket.

Lee,

I would be a player for anythang you came up with, however it has to have a pocket.

If possible, try to include us none attenders. I like Dr. Stine's quote.

Ok guys ..

Anyone who wants a shirt can get one (OSH attendance not required), just let me know so I can order enough.

Apparently a pocket is an absolute for a a few ... I'll work on that, warning that will push the $ up.

I think I have the text we need ... will post a pic when I get the shirt designed.

Count me in for the pocket. A pocket is must for me to have any practical use out of the shirt. According to my in-house bulk Tee-Shirt buyer, the pocket will add $1-2 to the cost and limit the color selection.

Well, Lee. Might as well see if you can get a designer T-18 four pen, three pencil, two highlighters, one chapstick, 2 Q-tips, nail scissors, and a hanky Pocket Protector thrown in there too for the seasoned aviators...

Back at Frase: Some of us can write so we do need a place for the pen and notepad. Also handy for the Foster Grants.

As for the text: "T-18's Aren't Touchy, They Require Talent", and "Life is good, but it's better with a Thorp T-18"

Ok guys .. I'm doing the pocket thing ... but I must say.

Really?! Really?! You refuse to buy/wear a shirt without a pocket?!?! Getting just a tad bit demanding aren't we?

Gary (X2) and Bob ... you had better not let me catch you wearing a pocket-less shirt! I'll be charging you a beer per occurrence!

Something tells me I have a few Moose Drools in my future!
