Can anybody tell me where the leveling means is for a T-18. A reference to somewhere in the blueprints would be great. I did manage to find the datum. Thanks |

Level across the fuselage at the former behind the seats (rear end of the canopy rail.) Use the reinforcement strip on the side fo the fuselage (W.L. 42) for the fore and aft reference. The tail will be pretty high in the level attitude, but that is correct. The leading edge of the wing is 55 inches. Drop a plumbob from the leading edge after you have leveled the plane and see where the main gear axle is. That will give you the moment arm for the mains for W/B calculations. |
