Weight and balance Tim06A an I (MikeLL) just purchased T18 312LL and should be bring it bringing it home soon. We would like to do a weight and balance on it but we do not have any builders info. If any one could tell me the level points and datum I would appreciate it? |

The full length stringer below the canopy rail is your flight level point and the wing leading edge is 55 inches aft of the datum point. After you raise the tail to flight attitude drop a plumb bob over the leading edge of the wing and measure the distance on the floor from there to the center of the wheel axles and tail wheel axle. Weight times distance from datum of each wheel equals moments. Divide the total weight of all three wheels into the total moments and that is where your CG is. Stay with-in the 15-31% of MAC range. |
