All,
First, sorry if I'm flooding the forums with my project woes -- I've just got myself between a rock and a hard place
That said, in my project for sale post, I mentioned an alternative to selling: partnering up on the project; so I thought a formal post on that proposal might help my case.
I have a T-18 project that I fear will waste away (litterally) if it doesn't get built soon, and I don't have a safe way to store it. I'm currently stationed in the Dayton, OH area. That said, are there any experienced (or new!) builders that would be willing to partner up on the project? I'm thinking someone within an hour's radius (Cinci, Columbus, Indy). I will also approach our local EAA.
The goal would be to finish it in the next two years: I would provide the project and all tools we need, which I figure is everything short of an engine, instruments, and paint. I'd be looking for the partner to provide primary construction, and I would help when/where possible (a day or two a week, small pieces built at my place). At the end, we can discuss disposition; sell it, keep it, whatever. I'm more interested in getting it in the air. I remember stories of the Florida crew working similar miracles.
So, any interest? Two heads are better than one, especially in this economy!!
