 N711SH has been an official airplane for 30 years. First flown by yours truly on 19 Feb, 1984, she has almost 2800 hrs on her. While this may not be a record, she has been from Bar Harbor, ME to San Diego, CA and Kingsley Field, OR to Key West, FL. In Dec of last year, I passed 50 years as a licensed pilot. That makes 711SH a big part of my flying experience. |

I have fond memories of that airplane .. First time I climbed at over 2000 fpm, went over 200, upside down and rode in formation. Come to think of it I remember a rapid decent demo as well. Had it not been for 711SH, 51863 would still be putting around with the 150 hp boys. |

I say Amen to all of the previous comments... we're so lucky to have you in this group! I remember the first year you had the Thorp at OSH - it looked so good to me, and gave me extra incentive to keep going & get mine flying. Thanks, Bob! |
