Sun 40 results ...

David Read 1st place in his class, 184 mph against a Glassair I TD

Lee Walton 3rd place in his class

206 mph (with one penalty resulting in 204 mph) against Bruce Hanmers 260 mph Glassair and a fixed fitch MMII (both modified 0-360s)

A lot of fun guys!

I'd like to add that the fixed pitch 180hp MMII only outran me by 3 kts ... Gary Green's fixed pitch bird would have smoked it!!!

And while we're talking Mustang IIs, the polished retract finished 3 kts behind me :O

You needed that 28 pound steel bar in the trunk, Lee. I have flown with Gary and he is hard to keep up with.
The avantage of a constant speed prop is it lets you go up and down faster, I've been passed by 0-320's and fixed pitch on several occasions.
