The EAA has made it really easy to respond to this proposal via a petition, as well as pre-composed letters to your congressmen that your comments can be added to.

Electronically sign the petition and enter your zip code. It will offer you the opportunity to send letters to your Senators and Congressman based on your zip code.

Petition and 3 letters took 5 minutes.

If you like this initiative, do it now.

This has been updated and reintroduced in the Senate this year - S. 573, the "General Aviation Pilot Protection Act of 2015". This really has a chance of happening if people will contact their Senators, & Representatives, and ask for their support. The email form letters are good, but just a few hundred phone calls can REALLY make a huge difference, IMO.

You can get contact info here -http://www.contactingthecongress.org/

Done. It's easy and quick to send email and Tweets. Co-sponsor and support S. 571, the Pilot’s Bill of Rights 2. John

Forgot to mention... in the House it's H.R. 1086 if you talk to your Representatives. As mentioned, the Pilot's Bill of Rights II is also introduced, but the G.A. Pilot Protection Act is the one including 3rd Class Medical reform... that's the "biggie" for me, but they're both important.

I should have done more checking before my last post. The "Pilot's Bill of Rights 2" is the bill that EAA helped author, & it does contain 3rd class medical reform also. It is H.R. 1062 and S.571. EAA has made it easy to show your support for this one.

To send a letter to your rep and senator click-

Now we've got more bills than we know what to do with. :o

Done! Also, AOPA has a similar campaign going at this time. Hopefully, this will yield positive results!

Thanks John!
I got the old bird flying again last fall, after about a years work fixing things that needed it. Installed new windshield, new com radio, overhauled brakes top to bottom, overhauled carb, new tires and tubes, etc. Its still a blast to fly, especially after spending a couple of years flying my Cub.

Cub flying is no slouch! I love them. But there is something special about zipping around in a Thorp.
Sorry to change the subject John. I couldn't resist. Back to attacking the government!!
