Hi, I'm currently designing an Arduino based AP which will control 3 axis trim tabs.

The trim tabs could be extra tabs if one does not wish to alter the originals. (I used the originals)
I'm working on it and would like your input if I forgot something.

Here are some features and hardware:

* Incorporated and external GPS input.
* Incorporated Gryros, Accelerometers, Barometer
* Graphic LCD sunlight readable
* Trim switches (For regular trim)
* Encoder to change heading, altitude, max bank, max climb/decent, min speed, GPS selection, 180 deg turn (Right or Left), PID adjustment, QNH adjustment,
* Buttons: On/Off, quick 180, reset

*Alt hold
*Alt Heading hold
*Wing leveler
*Heading
*Desired altitude
*Desired bearing
*Actual altitude
*GPS lost warning light

What I'm I missing?

Cheers
Marc

Ok, I will show my ignorance here.

But what the heck is "Arduino". How is it relevant to me or how do I use it on what sort of device?

This is all Greek to me!

Arduino are micro controllers (Like a mini pc in a chip)
Check it out here: https://www.arduino.cc/

Basically you program the chip to do whatever you want. The connections are simple. The programming (coding) is the hard part.

Look-up Arduino on Youtube.

Actually here is a video of a prototype I had made with one.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0clwbv-3AU
