Good report, John. Maybe the New Normal will take us back to yesteryear and the intimate fly- ins of the past. |

I love it John, at least someone is getting to go to a fly-in. On the left coast all the fly-ins have been cancelled, Sedona was my last hope for this year. |

Bob's comment about how fly-ins used to be brings to mind so many of the great Thorp fly-ins that I was privileged to attend. Many of the locations were/are held on multiple years. Gosh we had a lot of fun ... I just looked through some of my old log books - Kentucky Dam, Sequoyah State Park, OK, Fairview, OK, The Valley, AR, Canon City, CO, McAlester, OK, Placerville, CA, Porterville, CA, Pecan Plantation, TX, Mattoon, IL, Rapid City, SD, Heber, UT, Salt Lake City, UT, Visalia, CA, & Sedona, AZ. Although I flew my T-18 to Sedona several times, that's the only fly-in on this list that I've missed with my own bird (although Vicki & I drove in). Some of you other guys can probably come up with more. |
