Post subject:  which AN bolt for wing?

I am starring at the 599 and I am trying to figure out what AN bolt, nut, washer to get for mounting the wing to the fuselage. I see only the the specs for the AVDEL BALL-LOK PIN, but no specs for which bolt to use.

I see an 5-4A on the drawings, but that is way to short to put through the wing/fuselage... besides that, I cannot find any other reference to a bolt. Am I crazy or is it not shown?

Can anyone let me know which bolt to use?

dcuke,

Why don't you just add up the thicknesses of the materials that make up the spar , add the thickness for a couple of washers and look it up on the AN/MS bolt chart?

If it's the main bolts I think it's an AN6-25

Looking thru my parts catalog, it appears I ordered an AN6-22A bolt.

an6-22a is the correct bolt. 6-25a is just a little too long

It you were interested in the Ball-loc pins they are still available from Avibank.
The Australian distributor quoted me $42.39AUD each on the basis of a minimum order of 11.
Thats for the BL S 6 TA 17 S that is called for in the plans. That is one expensive bolt and also requires a 6-9 week lead time on manufacture.
