Hi everyone! Has anyone come up with a good idea for holding open the upper cowl access doors when you are working on the engine? Thanks a bunch!! Dean |

You must have a Rattray cowl. One guy I know uses a rope to tie the two sides together. Cubes |

I found a solution from the marine industry: MARINE CITY 304 Stainless-Steel Marine Heavy Duty Hatch Spring Holder Lid Support Spring for Boat(8-7/16 Inches): https://a.co/d/iHrk5qq You can see it in action on Bob's Zenith here (note that he has a split wire covering over it): https://youtu.be/WzjMSVaSSF0 |

I use a prop rod similar to what my Stinson 108-3 had. I have tried to upload a picture without success. If you email me at jbmantyla@outlook.com, I will email you a picture. Regards, Jim |
