Hi Ryan, look at MCMaster Carr part # 1794A43 Spring tension draw latch (B), the Stainless unit, they are $ 7.38 ea see if this is something you would like to use. I used one on each side, seals up the front seal on the canopy very well and is a very simple install. There is no doubt that the top center latch is probably by far the best system, check out these latches, been using them for 4 years and they will do the job......Dan

Up here in Canada the canopy latch has to be able to be operated from the outside as well as from the inside, with some sort of description as to "which way to open". This is usually an arrow and the word "open" at the latch location.

that looks good Dan. I'm fabricating a mounting block right now for the latch to fit on. Ill likely use your suggested latch. I like the looks of it.
