Hi Cubes, I have done 3 conditionals as I have been flying the Thorp for bout 4 yrs. I do inspections all year long, my brakes get inspected 4 times a year,I have to remove my wheel pants to air the tires so I always do an inspection. I check my oil just about every second or third time I go flying depending on how much I have been flying. I pull the cheeks and do a inspection on everything firewall forward,and a little wipin and cleaning.I guess I pretty much watch and take care of things during the year to the point that when it comes annual, I do compression,mag timing, E-gap setting and I look at the controls,bel cranks pushrods cables and such. They are always right where I left them the year before, kinda strange huh. I can honestly say the thig shows no sign of wear in 4 years,however I did do a tube and tire change, riveted on new brake pads and packed wheel bearings while I was at it for good measure. I don't have a list, but my logbook will report everything that has been done and when. I do the conditional every Nov, the rest of all of the lookin at this and that happens just about every weekend, I guess I'm Phobic about it...........Dan

Dan: Why not install an access door on the pant to check the air ? Here is what I did. I use a 1/4" extension and socket to remove the cap. I found an American made pencil air pressure gauge on Amazon. Very accurate. Need to put a "dot" on the tire to know when the tire and valve are in the door. Only took me about an hour to do both pants. Had to put a doubler for the pant attach screw anyway.

I use the removal of the Pant for lookin at stuff Rich, your set up is clean and neat. It's probably no trouble to check your air also. I made the pant mounts user friendly so it just takes a minute to remove them......Dan

James: Sorry James I do not have a T-18 specific annual or conditional check list for you.
Went on line as you probley did and didn't see one there for our aircraft.
We may have it in a newsletter or stored archives of the old site, however here is what I found.

James just a note on the last site.

Under builders info, then go to Operating and maintaining an amateur-built aircraft which will lead you to Guide to maintenance schedule
and this link gives you what we in Canada have to tailor our annuals/ conditional inspections too.
