I am currently building a Teenie II and already predict the need for a two seater. The T-18 looks to be within my skills as a builder and uses many of the same methods I am already using on the TT. Where can I find an accurate Bill of Materials for a scratch build? I want to use an absolute minimum of purchased parts.

A Teenie Two was my last ride,a good plane with almost the same characteristics, flying, landing and stall speed.Loved the T2 love my Thorp even more.

This subject came up about 4 months ago ? A list of materials is in the NL's...number of sheets of aluminum and stringers, etc. Off hand I can't remember what NL, but we talked about it on the message board. Go to the NL archieve (1-44) and scroll down to NL 1 (page 18/19). There is a list of materials there.

That teenie two is very reminiscent of Mr. Thorp's Little Dipper - circa 1944 Lockeed design. I think it was the T-7 and later morphed into the T-11 (now T-211). There were two prototypes built at Lockeed, the Army didn't buy the design, and they were scrapped. Much later (1960's) George Robertson (Mr. Thorp's very close friend and confidant) built a one place Sky Scooter that also looked a lot like this airplane. Last I heard some fellow up in Washington has that airplane and has restored it. I flew it out of San Fernando several times and it was a sweet little bird.
