Hey guys,

I thought I'd follow up on my last post in this discussion from a couple months ago, hopefully this one won't be quite as controversial.

After that post I heard from Scott Hinton, and after much coordination took delivery of my new plane, the pristine N78WG, about a month ago. After 5 days of WX slip and a grueling day ferrying towards her new home base north of Salt Lake I stopped in Oklahoma to bed her down and wait until I get some better WX and more time off. For some reason they wouldn't let me skip TDYs to continue the ferry operation - weird...

Anyhow, I appreciate all the input and am counting down the days until I can complete the ferry and add my plane to the SLC Thorp squadron, hopefully mid-May timeframe. At that point Frase better be ready to get spun up on the finer points of tactical intercepts and high angle strafe...

Congrats on the Thorp!!! You will appreciate its performance with simplicity, I'm going to have to find another thorp driver to add to the KVIS wing, seems the one in SLC is growing!! Dan

Congrats on N78WG .. That's a fantastic airplane! I'm shocked that Scott let it go.

Fraser,
You must be worried about a home invasion by Navy guys (who live on boats with 5000 other men) trying to slip into your six.

Lee, not as shocked as I was .... I've taken a new job running a flight training facility for Liberty University. Lots of airplanes to fly, an impending move, 3 kids all heading to college this fall, and before I knew it - sold. No worries though, the right pilot bought the plane. Paul didn't tell you he's a F-16 pilot, so I'm sure Frasier and Homey will have their hands full with him on their tail(s). I'll be moving again in a couple of years, and I plan to follow the lead of my hero, Frasier and buy another Thorp. See you guys at Sun N Fun.
