That's one thing I was thinking would cause a problem. Pressurized air is getting forced into my lower cowl thus causing less Delta differential for my cylinders. Mine has a gap around the intake and I was wanting to seal it up because I think the ram air is reducing my cooling to the cylinders. This also has a much better carb heat portion. I'll have to find a way to measure my cowl distance and then a way to seal it to the lower cowl to keep air from entering my lower cowl.
My other thought was to run a duct from the back of my baffling like david read did in order to completely remove the scoop and thus reduce drag on this little 290 powered ship!
