Or perhaps use a system like this--just need the tube welded into the exhaust and the check valve. Plumb the pipe from the breather fitting to it with hose. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-120108/. I use this on my Thorp, and have used it on several Pitts and other planes.

This looks like a good idea, I did see this setup in one of the old NL. Looks like the to go. I think I will put a res. on the drain tube from the oil air seperater fir a while to see what kind of oil consumtion I'm getting for now! Thanks to everyone for your help on this matter.

I will put a 3 pound pot roast on the exhaust next to the coffee mug. I figure, SAN to SLC, about Med. rare. [;)]

You laugh, I would heat my pepperoni rolls on the manifold of my Jeep when hunting, also Dinty More beef stew was great too.

I cooked many an MRE on the hot section of my UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter after shutdown in the field. Also slept in a mummy sleeping bag on top of the engine nacelle if it was really cold. It kept me warm for a couple of hours anyway. Might be why I left the Army for the Coast Guard...

Mark, here is a picture of the oil recovery system that was on MLM, as Fraser mentioned. The breather hose is out at the moment because my engine is hooked up to a crankcase dryer, but you can see where the hose is inserted into the top of the cup.

The machined and anodized bracket is a thing of beauty.
