I am curious if anyone knows anything about the LYC 160 HP 0320 H2AD. I have heard that some had troubles when they were put in the C172s. Does anyone out there have any idea? I found what seems to be a great deal on one, but would really appreciate any input as to whether or not this would work well in a t-18

You can probably get more info at VAF. The RV guys have been using them for some time. Also, try the Lycoming.list on Yahoo. The one thing is they came with the accessory case molded to the engine case and the fuel pump puts a hump in the cowling on the RV's. They had a problem wearing cams early on, had a 'T'-mod that installed bigger lifters. The Lycoming oil additive helped eliminate the problem. (Shell has oil with the additive)The H2AD will not fit the stock Dyno T18 motor mount because of the accessory case. They have one mag mount with dual output leads.
