Snap-on has (surprise) a really nifty one with a high def imager. It costs a grand. Ouch.
Costco has one for $159. I can return it at Costco if I don't like it but I never feel good about doing that. It has a 640x480 imager, a 320x240 viewer and an sd slot to view pics on a computer. Comments on the Vans forum about earlier Costco models noted that you couldn't twist the snake enough to see the valves without a mirror. Anyone know if that's still true, or in any case, are there any decent borescopes that don't cost a thousand bux?

Milwaukee tools bore scope with a small diameter end at Home Depot for around 250. Have not used one but Milwaukee tools are pretty good.

Princess Auto (in Canada) has the Autel brand...I bought their top of the line model MV400 it comes with a 8.5mm diameter head and all the features mentioned about the HD unit. I find the flexible cable very easy to maneuver and bend....I was able to use the included mirror to get a view of the valves. It was on sale last week for $159.99 (regular $229.99)...so far so good and its pretty neat seeing the valves without having to disassemble the engine.

I ordered one of those USB plug into your laptop type scopes off eBay for $50, I haven't received it yet but it has a small 7.2mm diameter head and if the image specs are to be believed it is a good or better than many costing up to $250. Costs seem to go up rapidly if you want to get into the professional quality with HD images or a smaller diameter snake!
