Any recommendations for a wooden prop for my T 18. Have 0320 E3d 160 hp. Currently have a Bishton 68x74 which performs very well but have discovered a small crack in the hub.
I am based in Perth, Western Australia

When my AD prop developed a small hub crack I swapped it out with a Catto 3 blade and their RV spinner. It was a very simple process and worked out great.

I have a 2004 Warnke prop on a 160 hp O320 and I am very happy with it. The Warnke propellers were marketed as “almost constant speed” because they twist to a finer pitch when full power is applied. It definitely almost works. ;-) Mine is marked as 68 x 73-81. Unfortunately Warnke is no longer around.

More knowledgeable people than I can confirm, but I believe Performance Propellers USA bought the Warnke business. Presumably they make a similar product today.

I’ll second Scott’s Catto recommendation. I put a 3 blade Catto on 27DW with nickel leading edges after I trashed my Aymar-Demuth. It took substantially longer than anticipated to receive and definitely not the cheapest prop on the market but in my opinion well worth it. I don’t have a ton of time on the prop but that thing is smooth. When I ordered it I was a little concerned about getting the pitch correct, Craig personally assured me he would re-pitch it until I was happy at no cost to me. At the time that blew me away and inspired the confidence I needed to go ahead and order. Turns out that wasn’t necessary because they nailed it right out of the box.

Thanks for the responses....I like the look of the Catto 3 blade.. I need to get it right first time given the shipping challenges to and from Australia.
