The weather was good Saturday morning so I brought the fuselage for N18JQ home so I could start repairing it. I have the wings mostly ready to go. While I had the doors open rearranging I had to share a picture of my shop. Derek and Scott are both changing shops and are currently insulating their shops so their projects moved to my shop for a bit. Right now I have 3 fuselages and 2 sets of wings at my house. They are both taking advantage of me having some tooling that they don't have to get some stuff done. A couple weeks ago we were all 3 working in the shop, Tim Mason was down from Effingham, Karen was supervising, and Tom Baker who flew 4588 to OSH this year was over. That was a fun day plus a lot of progress was made.

The IL/IN guys are pulling the wieght! The tailwind guys (our old friend MB namley) accused us of not having any "new" thorps in the mix ... I beg to differ!

I see you have the double doors to the loft so you can put another fuselage there too!

since you all have been posting some videos here is an evening flight a couple of weeks ago. I got the go pro for christmas too. My technique is a little ragged but it was a lot of fun.

The next weekend I figured out how to use the cable that ties the headset audio in. I also wanted to see how it would work after dark. It does a good job, just need to allow for all the reflections.

That is the MGL iefis. Lee talked me out of the earlier version of theirs that I had, you will see it in his current project. I have all my apples in one basket but it sure makes a simple installation and frees up a lot of panel space.

Nice!

How about a spin to the left and a spin to the right?
