Anybody have any clue or advice on the two thorp projects for sale on barnstormers?

I am currently in process (forever) rebuilding folding wings. That came from a wide body thorp. The center section is complete.

I assume the kits are standard with thorp. But there are TWO fuselages and wings that appear complete or nearly so. And I am extremely tempted by the price given all those parts. Far more than I need!

I hope to retire in a few years. And I want to fly the thorp before I die. So I am really contemplating buying.

Any warnings?

I am mostly concerned of how the heck I can manage to get all those parts into a truck and get it back to Wisconsin!

I welcome any thoughts anyone has if this is a boondoggle or worth the cost and “risk” for what appears a mother load of parts. I could pick the best of the lot and attempt to sell the parts I don’t need.

I have seen those listed and agree . . .a lot of parts for not a lot of money. These look to be standard T-18's and non-folding wings.

Good deal for someone indeed! Long haul from Idaho . . .

I contacted the seller. He told me they were sold.

I asked if he might be able to give contact info or the buyer as he may not need two fuselages! Which is my main desire to obtain.
