Thanks for the kind words Rich, i had a great time showing off the shop to you and John.

I guess my attitude is that I don't plan to get rich by stepping on some other shops toes, but if I can help fill a need then I would be happy to consider any work: tanks, gear, exhaust, ect.

I was asked about metal cowlings and was told that they are sought after. I am planning a new and hopefully much faster all-metal cowling for my ship.

I probably should have worded it a little better. I didn't mean to step on the toes of our "major" T18/S18 parts suppliers (CSA/Richard E), but to have you fill the void with parts they can't supply !

Would be good for the new owner of CSA to let Thorpies still building where or who they could contact for the parts they need to complete their project.

I am sure that will happen. They just need to finish the paper work, cross the I's and dot the T's ! Not easy to start or aquire a business. Plus the fact it appears it will be out of Country. Can you imagine all those rules and regulations ! OH MY ! BADA BING, BADA BOOM !

Lou;
Keep us up to date on the improved metal cowl project.
N883FF has a very poorly fit fiberglass cowl, and could benefit from a refit.

I'm sure the new owner will step up soon. He knows about this site and how we have lots of folks still building. My guess is that he will not be ready for a while. Then there will be a learning curve. Rest assured he knows he needs us as well as we need him.
