Dick : I put my best men on it to search out and find das dust boot . ::) They found a boot which I believe came with my Cleveland MC's . Only one boot survived (could only find one) after 32 years and it appears to be in great shape (no cracks or tears) as it has only rarely seen sunlight . It does have a P/N on it and it is stamped "Made in the USA ." P/N is 12300 and Cleveland parts do come up , but no where is there a boot . I even checked to Cleveland/Parker parts catalog and it does not show a boot ? Since you were the first one to express an interest in the long lost artifact it is yours . Send me your address and I'll mail it to ya . ;)

Disclaimer...I do not imply that this part fits your intended purpose and you install it at your own risk . Your boot mileage may vary .

I was checking the fit of the vertical stab, rudder and rudder cap yesterday. I decided that I prefer the cap to be taller. I sacrificed a second fiberglass cap I had in order to add material to bring the cap to the desired height. Today will be epoxy and micro balloons to finish the cap

Since the last update I have had the prop blades built into the propeller. It's all ready to mount on the engine sitting in the shop. I just require more space in the hangar before the rest of it happens.

I also had the opportunity to spend 6 hours at Oshkosh in July. While cruising the exhibits with Cubes, I saw that Grand Rapids had just announced the Sport EX 7. The plan was to get the 8.4 GRT HXr, but this is a much better fit for the panel. And the price point is better as well. I've adapted the panel for the EX 7. Expected delivery is mid Sept. The balance of the panel is set up for 1 Garmin GTR-200 Comm, 1 Garmin GTX-327 Transponder. The box in the center is Grand Rapids EIS-4000. It collects the data from EGT, CHT, Fuel flow, OAT, etc. The electrical is covered by fuses and a couple breakers. All switches in this one - No Keys required.

Panel is just about ready for installation. Waiting for delivery of a Grand Rapids Sport EX 7. They announced it at Oshkosh this past year. I was told it would ship in October. All I need is the unit for final fit. Same for the Garmin GTR-200 comm. Then it all comes off for the panel to go to paint.

This panel does not have enough gauges to make it an airplane, HA!
I'm going to wood grain my panel this winter. Now I have veneer, but it will not hold up to the heat. I have a wood grain kit I use for the antique cars
