OH OK. So I could snap in the connector, and solder to those 2 pins and be done. Got it. thanks a bunch.

Hey Rich, do you remember the model number of the ray Allen servo we used for our ailerons by any chance? We are going to trim Deans plane and I can't remember, Thanks Rich. Dan

I will try to speak in soft voice so as to not stir up a pile of piss ants ! :-X I believe I used the T2-7A servo with 0.7 inch of travel. I believe the "preferred" servo is the T4-5 with 0.5 inch of travel, but the cost is almost TWICE that of the T2-7A . Not sure if the T4-5 can be mounted inside the aileron ? ??? The T4-5 unit is used with the Lyle Trusty trim system...I think ? As with any electric trim system you better have a cut out switch or CB (for EACH servo) within arms reach to stop a runaway trim situation ! ;) Or at best turn off the Master Switch ! ANY electric trim system will get your attention right away if it starts an uncommaned movement (no input from the pilot) ! REMOVE power immediately ! O0

Probably the most common problem for runaway trim is a faulty "coolie hat" switch or other switch used for the trim.

No need to whisper RB ... A lot of us use the RAC servo in the aileron (as it is truly a "trim tab"). I'm not going to argue with you on this but you have a pic of your aileron trim install in the gallery ... Looks like its a T2-10A. :o

So the one they use on the stabilator trim is probably the ID-10T model......

The one they've been using on the stab is the .7" inch throw model .. the T2-7A ... incidently that's almost twice the throw called for in the plans.

Since my left wing is all but done, I will be trying to hook up the aileron trim system now. Surfing for parts. Will post picks when I get something working.
