Unfortunately, there are 2 maybe 3 others on Barnstormers right now that fall into that same category. This one at your place...Sitting 5 years may make his Lycoming a decent 'core' for rebuild. Same with the prop- and that would be if it's a B hub . Other than that, It might be difficult to find parts value in the rest of it. Just a shame to see them sit. |

Landing attitude changes a bit but the speed is only about 5 mph higher, I flew my old airplane with the flaps caged for quite a while. It's not a big deal at all, zero flaps make it lighter too. |

I landed yesterday no flap in the monster. I'll do that if the winds are kicking. No big deal at all. Cubes |

TH - "...Sitting 5 years may make his Lycoming a decent 'core' for rebuild. Same with the prop- and that would be if it's a B hub" Not necessarily ... my old red airplane sat for over 10 years, general mtx and some new oil and she fired right up and still runs as is today. As far as the "B" hub conversation goes, that's an fed enforced expenditure, nothing wrong with the original hub at all. Just care for it properly. |
