I have switched to an O-320 and have my O-290G4 for sale (S/N 1792-20). The engine was pulled in June from N14GM due to excessive oil usage (1qt/2hrs). There was some rust pitting on the cylinder walls and a small amount of rust on the cam. The engine was running great when pulled except for the excessive oil being blown out. The new owner will need new pistons and rings, re-chrome of the cylinders, and possibly a camshaft service. The core is in great shape and it will make a terrific motor for someone that wants to work on it. All of the parts are still available at In-Stock Aero online. I have all logs since purchased surplus in 1964. The TT on her is 450 hours. I'll take $1500 OBO. I'm only putting it up for sale on the forum.

Engine is in Medford and yes, I believe the company/website is aeroinstock.com. No accessories go with it. Just the engine and MA3-SPA carb.

I took a look at aeroinstock.com, They done list any parts for an o-290 on there web site? I would like find a good source for o-290 parts. Any other providers out there?

I had to call the company for quotes on the 290 parts. About two and half months ago new pistons ran around 250/each, newly overhaueled cam was around 1300. With a chrome job on the cylinders (cost?) that should give you a baseline of what it would cost to get her back up to speed. The last flight on the engine was May 28th of this year. I put about 40 hours on her in the preceeding 6 month,s but before that it was only flown once or twice a month for about 10 years.

Dropping the price on my O-290g down to $500 OBO. I can ship for cost but would prefer the buyer pick it up in Medford. The carb is no longer offered with the engine and no other accessories go with it. PM me with questions and I'll get back to you ASAP. Thanks for looking.
