A little vague there MG - what kind of static and full power flying RPMs are you getting with your engine prop combo? - compressions all good on motor? - you may have an optimum (or close to) combination, but the rigging is outawumpus, or there are places to fair (wheel pant brake cuffs, wing root fairings, tightness around the exhaust/cowl opening, etc) that will provide more speed. I have a (close to) 160 HP and a C/S and get 150 Knots in the 24 squared range and I know I could gain 8-10 more knots putting the brake cuffs and tightening up the cowl/exhaust area - my motor mounts are sagging down and to the right (like Rich) a degree or so and that is causing the plane to fly a half bubble off center (like me) - another knot or two when they get replaced this winter.

Speed is not just the engine and prop combo. In fact, if you want more speed, put your mother in law (sedated and within CG limits of course) in the baggage compartment when you fly and trim the tail up.........trust me

Looking to buy a used, in good shape

Will go new if I can't find used.
