Hi All, I thought I had 1 good rudder cable in my first project. I went to remove it today and surprise - it had been cut as well. No I have no pattern. I talked to Mike 2 weeks ago. He has no cables on hand and no plans to make any soon. I don't have drawing 548 in my plans. If anyone has a set..or can get me the dimensions, I can have a set made by Aircraft Spruce.

Thanks,

Terry

For all: Remember the T-18 and S-18 have different length cables. One other way to make sure you are right is to set the pedals and rudder neutral and pull a string. Measure the string and confirm with what the plans say. These are too expensive to make twice.

Hi Guys, I forgot to mention that in the worst case I can pull them out of my second project and use them as patterns. Both are T-18's. The first has the Sunderland folding wing - the second is the standard wing. But if Thierry has numbers, that would be great.

Thanks,
Terry

I just went browsing through the archieves and found a previous thread. The answer is 150.8 inches hole to hole. Thanks for the forum! If you dig enough - It's all here.

I mesure my old cable and I have 143"5 inches plus the turnbuckle. 150.8 sound goog. I take a look with the complete assembly.

At Sun N Fun while browsing through the "parts" vendors, I came across some surplus 3/32 cables with a turnbuckle end on one end and a ball on the other. The package said "15 feet" - some quick calculations and I figured this is just what I need - for $3.50. Now I just swedge the fork end on the rudder end at the proper length and my need for rudder cables has been met. In the words of Rich..BOOM - Double BOOM
